WebCD Globe Edit HTML Options

Access the Edit HTML Options dialog by selecting Options from the Build menu and then clicking the Edit HTML tab.

The HTML content on your WebCD will probably contain some links to documents or sites that are not on the WebCD. These links are called Live-LinksTM , and, if selected, will automatically connect the user to the live Web site to display the page. The Internet Link Icon option allows you to include an indicator on your HTML pages next to those links that will take the user outside of the WebCD (local) content.

Include Internet Link Icon for Live Links in HTML Documents

If you turn on this option, WebCD Packager will include an icon after any text links on your WebCD that connect the user to a live Web site (outside of the WebCD). During the build of your WebCD Viewer image, WebCD Packager determines which links are "live" (to a live Web site) and which are "local" (on the WebCD). Turn on this option if you want your users to see the Live-Link icon (or the icon you specify (see the Internet Link Image File option described below) next to any link that will take them "live".

Note In order to preserve the appearance of the HTML page, the Internet link icon is not placed next to links embedded in server or client side image maps, inline images, inline sounds, or background images, form actions, frames, or clickable images.

Internet Link Image File

By default, WebCD Packager uses the WebCD Live-Link icon Live-Link Button (wcdlive.gif) to represent links to the live Web site. To use your own icon, specify the image file you wish WebCD Packager to use.

Image Width

If using your own icon, specify the width in pixels of your image. (Default for wcdlive.gif is 16 pixels wide).

Image Height

If using your own icon, specify the height in pixels of your image. (Default for wcdlive.gif is 15 pixels wide).

Alternate Text

Specify the text to use in the ALT attribute of the HTML IMG tag. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, this text is displayed when the mouse is over the image.
